IMPORTANT – ACCEPTANCE BY USE

By accessing, viewing, posting, commenting, or messaging within the FOOT CARE blog, forum, or community areas (“the Community”), you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.

If you do not agree, you must not use this Community.

1. Optional Community Space

The Community is provided as an optional and voluntary platform for users to share general experiences, stories, questions, and discussions.

Users are under no obligation to participate. Choosing not to use the Community does not affect access to clinical treatment or services.

2. No Routine Monitoring

• The Community is not actively or routinely monitored by FOOT CARE employees.

• FOOT CARE staff may post occasionally; this does not constitute active moderation, supervision, or endorsement.

• Content may remain visible for a period of time before it is reviewed or removed.

Users must not assume any content has been checked or approved.

3. Zero‑Tolerance Behaviour Policy

The following are strictly prohibited at all times:

• Any swearing or profanity

• Nasty, abusive, aggressive, hostile, or intimidating language

• Harassment, bullying, or threats

• Discriminatory or hateful remarks

• Reckless, false, or misleading statements

There is no tolerance for this behaviour. FOOT CARE may remove content and restrict or permanently terminate access without notice.

4. Defamatory or Detrimental Statements About FOOT CARE

Users must not post content that is:

• False or misleading about FOOT CARE, its staff, practitioners, or services

• Defamatory, malicious, or reckless

• Damaging to the reputation or interests of the company

FOOT CARE expressly reserves the right to seek legal advice and pursue legal action, including civil remedies, in response to defamatory, malicious, or damaging statements.

5. User‑Generated Content & No Responsibility

All content within the Community is entirely user‑generated.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• FOOT CARE accepts no responsibility or liability for any content posted by users

• FOOT CARE does not endorse, verify, or adopt any statements, opinions, or advice

• Responsibility lies solely with the individual user who posted the content

The presence of content does not imply approval or acceptance by FOOT CARE.

6. Delayed Moderation & No Liability

Users acknowledge and accept that:

• Inappropriate, harmful, or damaging content may not be identified immediately

• FOOT CARE shall not be liable for loss, harm, distress, offence, or reputational damage resulting from delayed removal

• Removing content later does not imply prior fault, knowledge, or responsibility

7. Reporting Concerns or Content Removal Requests

Concerns about Community content, or requests for review or removal, must be sent to:

Requests will be reviewed within a reasonable timeframe. FOOT CARE retains full discretion over whether content is removed.

8. Medical Disclaimer & Independent Verification

The Community is not a clinical service.

• No content constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment

• Users must always independently verify any health‑related information

• Users should consult a GP, registered podiatrist, or other qualified healthcare professional before acting on information shared by others

FOOT CARE accepts no liability whatsoever for actions taken based on user‑generated content.

9. Use Entirely at Your Own Risk

Participation in the Community is entirely at the user’s own risk.

FOOT CARE shall not be liable for:

• Emotional distress or offence

• Disputes between users

• Reliance on third‑party content

• Any direct or indirect consequences of participation

10. User Accounts & Website Functionality

Website accounts may be used to:

• Request and manage appointments

• Participate in blog discussions

• Send and receive messages (where enabled)

• Change or cancel appointments

Community participation is optional and separate from clinical care.

11. Website Accounts vs Clinic Records

Website accounts are separate from clinical medical records.

• Website data supports online functionality only

• Clinical records are managed independently under healthcare regulations

• Name and date of birth may be used solely to link accounts administratively where applicable

• No clinical data is shared within the Community

12. Profile Privacy & User Control

Users may choose whether to:

• Participate publicly

• Make profiles private or limited

• Adjust messaging and visibility settings where available

Users are responsible for the information they choose to disclose.

13. Enforcement & Legal Reservation

FOOT CARE reserves the right to:

• Remove any content

• Restrict, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts

• Deny future access to Community features

• Seek legal advice and pursue legal remedies where appropriate

All decisions are final.

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Community constitutes acceptance of the current version.
